During the several lockdowns of the pandemic, I found myself immersed in negative thoughts and feelings. Sadness, lack of hope, boredom... There were worse and better moments, but the thing that let me get away from all this gloomy scenario was my perfume lab. Whenever I start blending perfume materials, I lose track of time, I escape to a fantasy planet, I am in my own bubble. Sometimes, even through the darkest times, I would spend countless hours in pure creative trance. And that eventually made me emerge from that somber mood I was in. Later on, while looking back at all the formulas I had made during the past year, it was surprising to see how uplifting and happier they were, comparing to most of my previous ones. My work has gotten brighter, more joyful, more sensual. From the “lockdown formulas” I selected four to release now (the other ones will also eventually see the light of day). Today I feel stronger and more positive, and I would like to convey this feeling of positiveness through these perfumes. They all have a different mood, but they share this strength and joy. I hope I can transmit this feeling of empowerment to you.

Summer Oud

Banana is a note that I love, and I have used it a lot before. In perfumery, this is not an accord often used, but to me, it's simply magical. In Summer Oud, banana is mixed with coconut and a touch of raspberry to impart a little tartness. Then the fruits are juxtaposed with woody, ambery notes, put together within a Middle-Eastern-inspired universe. It's a tropical oud, oud for summer. For living the summer at the maximum, or for dreaming of it in the middle of winter.

Top Notes: Banana, Coconut, Raspberry

Middle Notes: Rose, Jasmine, Cypriol, Cumin

Base Notes: Oud, Amber, Opoponax, Chinese Cedar, Musk
